NEXUS is the master orchestrator. It coordinates eight specialized agents — FORGE, PIPER, JADE, DEFINTEL, MIRA, APEX, and HERALD — each running 24/7. Each agent maintains self-healing cron jobs, persistent memory, circuit breakers, and telemetry scoring. Agents upgrade their own models dynamically based on task complexity: Tier 0 uses local Ollama models for cost control; Tier 3 deploys Claude Opus for complex reasoning. The infrastructure compounds — every session adds to institutional knowledge. Over time, the system gets smarter without human intervention.

The Founder

Built by Chad Justice

Chad Justice, 35, Collierville, Tennessee. His grandfather was an orphan who became a world-renowned ophthalmic photographer and founded a lasting business from nothing. Chad carries that legacy. At 18, he joined the family ophthalmic supply company. Today, at 35, he runs it — generating Live gross revenue. That operational foundation shapes everything he builds.

Elite gamer: StarCraft at a competitive level. Multi-tasking, rapid strategy, systems thinking under pressure — these are not metaphors, they are literally how his brain is wired.

Professional poker (2017-2024): Online poker pro with elite status across the community. Psychology, game theory, risk management, pattern recognition, rapid decision-making under variance. The same mental model that beats poker applies to building AI systems: engineer for edge cases, not average cases.

The name: "Apex" comes from the accelerated academic program Chad attended from 3rd through 8th grade — advanced math, intensive strategy, exceptional students only. He made that connection at 6:37 AM on February 20, 2026, while telling his story to one of his agents. Full circle.

Started coding: June 2025. Zero coding knowledge. Used ChatGPT for months. Grueling. Nothing like what it would become. The insight came in September/October 2025: "Can we make a system that makes scripts, patches itself, and self-tests?" This was before autonomous agent frameworks were mainstream. From October 2025 through mid-February 2026: 16-18 hours per day, no days off. Four and a half months of sustained building at maximum intensity. The result: eight autonomous agents, three live revenue streams, seven provisional patents filed, and five more in drafting.
